Competitive Excellence Conference

November 6-9, 2022 at Wesley Center, Woodworth, LA

 

General Registration Information/Overview

​

Students will receive training in leadership, networking, professional development, competition, and take part

in an actual competitive team event.  Teachers will also have a workshop on Monday on this year’s DECA programs as well as an update on the MERA Grants.  Bring officers from your chapter, other chapter leaders, and potential CDC competitors.

​

We are recommending that all attendees bring a face mask.  Depending of Covid-19 status in the state, we may mandate that masks be worn when in groupings other than during meal-time.  If a school has other protocols which are more restrictive, students must follow them.

11:30-3:00 p.m.—Registration & Hospitality-Board Room

1:30-3:45 p.m.—Student Scavenger Hunt-Common Area

4:00-5:00 p.m.—Student testing (Cluster Exam) in 1011, 1010, 107B

6:00-7:00 p.m.—Dinner in Dining Room; Etiquette Dinner

7:00-8:00 p.m.—Opening Session in Rooms 1008 & 1009

8:00-11:10 p.m.—TRI Leads Activities in 1008 & 1009

11:00 p.m.--Curfew

8:30-11:30 a.m.—TRI Leads Leadership Training/Competitive-Rooms 1008 & 1009

9:30-11:30 a.m.—DECA Advisor workshop in Room 1011

Noon-12:45 p.m.—lunch in Dining Room

1:00-4:00 p.m.—Breakout Sessions for Students.  Advisors should check their students

6:15-7:00 p.m.—Dinner in Dining Room

7:00-9:00 p.m.—Outdoor Activities with bonfire (bring S’mores supplies), board games, movies

11:00 p.m.—Curfew
